50’s ghosts and monsters before the comic book code! This is Roy Thomas’s final volume of the collected Heap stories, and it is the best. The Heap’s finest artist, Ernie Schroeder, is the artist throughout. The writing, still light years away from Nail Gaiman standards, is the best of the three volumes. Also included is an in-depth intervieew with the artist shortly before his death. And like the other two volumes, this reproduces the stories from the original comics warts and all. All in all, a great collection.
